Title: Conversion of normal waves in the electron-cyclotron frequency range at the critical surface in a cold anisotropic plasma inhomogeneous in two dimensions

Abstract

Linear O-X conversion in the vicinity of a critical-density magnetic surface in a cold anisotropic plasma is studied using the model of a plasma inhomogeneous in two dimensions. Analytic expressions for the conversion and reflection coefficients are derived.
