Title: Synthesis and structure of the stoichiometric sodium bis(dihydrotellurato)cuprate(III) Na{sub 5}[Cu(H{sub 2}TeO{sub 6}){sub 2}] . 16H{sub 2}O

Abstract

Stoichiometric sodium bis(dihydrotellurato)cuprate(III) of the composition Na{sub 5}[Cu(H{sub 2}TeO{sub 6}){sub 2}] . 16H{sub 2}O is synthesized, and its crystal structure is studied. The site occupancy of the Na(3) atom at the center of symmetry is refined to 0.493(8). Since this value is close to 0.5, the position is considered to be completely occupied.
