YangMills localization in warped space
Abstract
We present a mechanism to localize zero mode nonAbelian gauge fields in a slice of AdS{sub 5}. As in the U(1) case, bulk and boundary mass terms allow for a massless mode with an exponential profile that can be localized anywhere in the bulk. However in the nonAbelian extension, the cubic and quartic zeromode gauge couplings do not match, implying a loss of 4D gauge invariance. We show that the symmetry can be restored at the nonlinear level by considering branelocalized interactions, which are added in a gauge invariant way using boundary kinetic terms. Possible issues related to the scalar sector of the theory, such as strong coupling and ghosts, are also discussed. Our approach is then compared with other localization mechanisms motivated by dilaton gravity and deconstruction. Finally, we show how to localize the scalar component A{sub 5} zero mode anywhere in the bulk which could be relevant in gaugeHiggs unification models.

YangMillsDirac equations as CauchyRiemann equations in twistor space
The classical equations of motion corresponding to the standard Lagrangian of quantum chromodynamics are transformed into CauchyRiemann equations in Penrose twistor space.
The Dirac equation in a nonRiemannian manifold: II. An analysis using an internal local n dimensional space of the YangMills type
The geometrical properties of a flat tangent spacetime local to the generalized manifold of the EinsteinSchroedinger nonsymmetric theory, with an internal {ital n}dimensional space with the SU({ital n}) symmetry group, is developed here. As an application of the theory, a generalized Dirac equation, where the electromagnetic and the YangMills fields are included in a more complex field equation, is then obtained. When the twodimensional case is considered, the theory can be immediately interpreted through the algebra of quaternions, which, through the Hurwitz theorem, presupposes a generalization of the theory using the algebra of octonions.
Abelian charges in a nonabelian YangMills theory from the stratification of the space of gauge potentials
The Abelian charges in a nonAbelian YangMillsDirac theory arising from the reduction of the structure group are studied. They are defined by the concept of the stabilizer gauge transformations. Their properties are investigated. The relationship between the whole class of stabilizer and the stratification of the space of gauge potentials is given. The effect of the spontaneous symmetry breaking mechanism on these charges is discussed. 11 refs., 1 tab.
