Title: Single-electron detachment cross sections for negative ions of transition elements colliding with gases

Abstract

Experimental results for the single-electron detachment cross sections for negative ions of transition elements, such as Ti{sup -}, Cr{sup -}, Fe{sup -}, Ni{sup -}, Cu{sup -} and Ag{sup -}, in collision with noble gases and N{sub 2}, are obtained in the energy region of 7-30 keV. The experiments are carried out using the growth rate method.
