Title: Properties of the Quark Correlator

Abstract

I deduce some properties of the quark correlator, by exploiting the equations of motion. As a first result, at zero order in the coupling constant the correlator depends on just three independent functions; therefore approximate relations can be established among functions defined in the usual parametrizations of the correlator. Secondly, the azimuthal asymmetries which can be attributed to T-odd functions are suppressed by powers of the QCD hard scale Q. Lastly, higher twist terms are conveniently parametrized in a particular gauge.
