Title: Strong decays of D{sub sJ}(2317) and D{sub sJ}(2460)

Abstract

With the identification of (D{sub sJ}(2317),D{sub sJ}(2460)) as the (0{sup +},1{sup +}) doublet in the heavy quark effective field theory, we derive the light-cone QCD sum rule for the coupling of an eta meson with D{sub sJ}(2317)D{sub s} and D{sub sJ}(2460)D{sub s}*. Through {eta}-{pi}{sup 0} mixing we calculate their pionic decay widths, which are consistent with the experimental values (or upper limits). Combining the radiative decay widths derived by Colangelo, Fazio, and Ozpineci in the same framework, we conclude that the decay patterns of D{sub sJ}(2317,2460) strongly support their interpretation as ordinary cs mesons.

  • We estimate pionic decay widths of the narrow charm-strange resonances D{sub sj}(2317) and D{sub sj}(2460) using the {sup 3}P{sub 0} model. Their one-pion decays occur through {eta}-{pi}{sup 0} mixing while the two-pion decays of D{sub sj}(2460) occur through the virtual f{sub 0}(980) meson. The mixing between {sup 3}P{sub 0} and {sup 1}P{sub 1} states enhances the single-pion decay width of D{sub sj}(2460) and suppresses its double-pion decay width significantly. As a byproduct, we also calculate pionic decay widths of B{sub sj}(5765), B{sub sj}(5765) mesons in the (0{sup +},1{sup +}) heavy doublet.
  • Status of investigations of the new observed charmed strange mesons D{sub SJ}*(2317){sup {+-}}, D{sub SJ}(2460){sup {+-}} and D{sub SJ}(2632){sup +} is simply reviewed. A systemic classification to these states with Regge trajectories (RTs) was made. We found that D{sub SJ}*(2317){sup {+-}} and D{sub SJ}(2460){sup {+-}} are reasonable to be arranged as (0{sup +},1{sup +}) states, but D{sub SJ}(2632){sup +} seems not possible to be an orbital excited tensor particle. As a byproduct, the nonstrange charmed mesons including D{sub 1}{sup '}(2427) and D*(2637){sup +} were analyzed also.
  • We study radiative decays of D{sub sJ}*(2317) and D{sub sJ}(2460) using light-cone QCD sum rules. In particular, we consider the decay modes D{sub sJ}*(2317){yields}D{sub s}*{gamma} and D{sub sJ}(2460){yields}D{sub s}{sup (}*{sup )}{gamma},D{sub sJ}*(2317){gamma} and evaluate the hadronic parameters in the transition amplitudes analyzing correlation functions of scalar, pseudoscalar, vector, and axial-vector cs currents. In the case of D{sub sJ}*(2317){yields}D{sub s}*{gamma} we also consider determinations based on two different correlation functions in heavy quark effective theory (HQET), in order to estimate the finite charm-quark mass effects. The mode D{sub sJ}(2460){yields}D{sub s}{gamma} turns out to have the largest decay rate among the radiativemore » D{sub sJ}(2460) channels, as experimentally observed, a result thus favoring the interpretation of D{sub sJ} states as ordinary cs mesons.« less
  • A study of the D{sub sJ}*(2317){sup +} and D{sub sJ}(2460){sup +} mesons in inclusive cc production is presented using 232 fb{sup -1} of data collected by the BABAR experiment near {radical}(s)=10.6 GeV. Final states consisting of a D{sub s}{sup +} meson along with one or more {pi}{sup 0}, {pi}{sup {+-}}, or {gamma} particles are considered. Estimates of the mass and limits on the width are provided for both mesons and for the D{sub s1}(2536){sup +} meson. A search is also performed for neutral and doubly charged partners of the D{sub sJ}*(2317){sup +} meson.
  • In this article, we take the point of view that the charmed mesons D{sub s0}(2317) and D{sub s1}(2460) with the spin-parity 0{sup +} and 1{sup +} respectively are the conventional cs states, and calculate the strong coupling constants G{sub S}(for <D{sub s}*{phi} vertical bar D{sub s0}>) and G{sub A}(for <D{sub s}{phi} vertical bar D{sub s1}>) in the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rules approach. The strong coupling constants G{sub S} and G{sub A} are related to the basic parameter {mu} in the heavy quark effective Lagrangian, the numerical value is larger than the existing estimation. With the assumption ofmore » the vector meson dominance of the intermediate {phi}(1020), we study the radiative decays D{sub s0}{yields}D{sub s}*{gamma} and D{sub s1}{yields}D{sub s}{gamma}.« less
