Chemical separation procedures were developed that allow isolating the iodine, chlorine, aluminium, and beryllium fraction from lead targets irradiated with protons in an energy range up to 2.6 GeV. The cross sections of the four nuclides 10Be, 26Al, 129I, and 36Cl were determined; their excitation functions were calculated and compared with theoretical predictions developed within the HINDAS collaboration (EC 5th framework)
