Title: Orthogonal antisymmetry of deformation rates and scaling in turbulence

Abstract

It is shown that certain statistical-geometrical properties of deformation rates [orthogonal antisymmetry (4) and its generalizations due to intermittency, (1) and (15)] lead to corresponding power laws of turbulent velocity field. (c) 2000 American Institute of Physics.
