Title: Vortex induced modification of the temperature dependence of superconducting electron density in submicron YBaCuO particles

Journal Article · · Journal of Low Temperature Physics

Temperature dependence of the superconducting electron density, n{sub s}(T), is investigated with a SQUID magnetometer in the Meissner and the vortex states of submicron YBaCuO particles. The presence of vortices is found to modify the temperature dependence of n{sub s}(T) at low temperatures. Possible mechanisms of this phenomenon, such as the Volovik effect and anomalously large core size of single vortices, are discussed.
