Title: Shielding factors of grain oriented 3% SiFe cylinders

Abstract

The authors have measured the magnetic shielding factor and permeability of 3% SiFe cylinders with various diameters under the same test frequency, magnetization level, and geometry conditions. The measured shielding factor has been compared with the estimated one by using the measured permeability for the single- and double-layered cylinders. It is found that the simple permeability measurement of the cylinder in itself is useful for the prediction of a magnetic shielding factor.
