Plant capital investment strategies in the changing electric generation marketplace require understanding and evaluation of the risks and uncertainties which can influence decisions. The integrity of steam generators in particularly significant because of the magnitude of the cost of repair or replacement alternatives. This report illustrates the nuclear asset management process developed with Baltimore Gas & Electric Company (BGE) to examine the influences on operational strategies for the Calvert cliffs Nuclear Power Plant (CCNPP) strategies with respect to steam generator integrity.
