Title: Analysis of the D wave in the reaction {pi}p {yields} a{sub 2}{sup 0}(1320)n

A partial-wave analysis of the reaction {pi}{sup {minus}}p {yields} a{sub 2}{sup 0}(1320)n is performed in the region of a{sub 2}{sup 0}(1320)- meson masses at a momentum of 100 GeV/c. The D{sub +} wave is shown to be dominant in all eight nontrivial solutions. This corresponds to the predominant production of the a{sub 2}{sup 0}(1320) meson via the exchange mechanism with natural spin-parity in the t channel. The restriction {vert_bar}D{sub 0}/D{sub +}{vert_bar}{sup 2}<0.16 is imposed on the D{sub 0}-wave magnitude. 18 refs., 7 figs.
