Science in 360°: The incredibly complex device in this video is one of the few electron microscopes worldwide that can image magnetization in 3-D, which is key to improving materials for computer memory devices. Located at Berkeley Lab's Molecular Foundry, the microscope is called SPLEEM (Spin-Polarized Low Energy Electron Microscope), and it’s one of the many reasons that scientists from around the world come to the Foundry.
