Y-12 National Security Complex LEU-Mo Casting Update
Abstract
The Y-12 National Security Complex participates in the Fuel Fabrication pillar of the National Nuclear Security Administration's Office of Material Minimization and Management (M3) Office of Conversion Pillar. Y-12's primary responsibility is to establish the fabrication process of low-enriched uranium- molybdenum (LEU-Mo) feedstock for United States High Performance Research Reactors. This update focuses on recent efforts to demonstrate consistency and repeatability in the LEU-Mo fabrication process for production environment.
