Cosmological Probes of Fundamental Physics
- The Ohio State Univ., Columbus, OH (United States)
The Lyman-alpha forest is a key probe of the expansion history and of structure formation in the Universe at intermediate redshifts (2<5). This report describes two investigations into astrophysical systematic errors in the Lyman-alpha forest: reionization imprints (which affect the broadband power spectrum) and streaming velocities (which affect the baryon-acoustic oscillation feature).
