Title: Industry Partnerships and their Role in Reducing Natural Gas Supply Chain Greenhouse Gas Emissions - Briefing

Abstract

NETL partnered with ONE Future (natural gas industry) to improve operational efficiency and mitigate methane emissions to enhance the nation’s safe and reliable delivery of natural gas.  The key findings show that there are industry participants who, through best practices and capital investments, have improved the overall efficiency of their systems.  The strategies employed by ONE Future participants are a benchmark that can be followed by other natural gas operators.  This collaboration demonstrates how industry and government can work together to improve the understanding of methane emissions and potential reduction strategies that can improve the long-term operational efficiency of the nations’ natural gas production and delivery systems.
