Two uranyl aqua sulfate compounds: [(CH ₃ ) ₃ NCH ₂ COOH] [UO ₂ (Cl)(SO ₄ )(H ₂ O)] ( 1 ) and UO ₂ ((CH ₃ ) ₃ NCH ₂ COO)(SO ₄ )(H ₂ O) ( 2 ) were synthesized and their crystal structures were determined. The morphology changes between the two‐dimensional anionic structural unit of 1 and the neutral structural unit of 2 are examined, and the impact of their terminally coordinating ligands discussed.
