Title: FLUKA Simulations for Mis-steered Electrons Striking FE Components Upstream of 17-BM Dipole Shadow Shield

Abstract

Dipole Shadow Shields (DSS) are installed throughout the storage ring close to a dipole exit port to shield the highly forward peaked bremsstrahlung generated from mis-steered electrons. The analysis carried out in reference 1 assumed no beamline frontend (FE) and therefore no aperture in the DSS.
