Title: OSIRIS User's Manual, v. 1.0

Program Document ·
OSTI ID:1480514

The On-Site Inspection RadioIsotopic Spectroscopy (OSIRIS) system is a gamma-ray spectroscopy instrument for on-site inspections under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). [1] OSIRIS identifies fission-product isotopes with a high-resolution gamma-ray spectrometer. The spectrometer is controlled by a ruggedized notebook computer running data acquisition and data analysis software customized for CTBT on-site inspections. This manual explains OSIRIS preparation and setup for operation; startup procedures, including energy-calibration of the spectrometer; spectral measurements and spectral analyses; and shutdown procedures.
