Title: Embedded Systems for Intelligent Vehicle Research

Abstract

Connected and automated vehicles are becoming more and more popular. Research and development in these fields will require new and unique test environments and strategies. Several things can be learned from prior history with specialized vehicle data bus applications. Data bus development and testing techniques for three real-world car and heavy truck vehicle data bus projects are presented in this paper, with an emphasis on hardware-in-the-loop system integration testing.
