The purpose of this report is to describe and present the latest CAI analyses for the Rainier Mesa/Shoshone Mountain (RM/SM) CAU and review their role in the broader, historical context of CAI activities at RM/SM. As described in Sections 1.4 and 1.5, the current work was initiated after specific concerns arose during a previous CAI phase, which eventually prompted a revision of the FFACO process and the adoption of an alternative modeling strategy (AMS) for CAI work at RM/SM. The remainder of this report will describe the CAI modeling activities conducted through 2017 under the revised FFACO process and AMS discussed above.
