This reports summaries the probability of CO2 and brine leakage from known well locations at screening Sites A and B as part of the Phase 1 Central Appalachian Basin CarbonSAFE project using the NRAP-IAMCS. Sites A and B evaluate leakage risk of 50 million tons of CO2 in two wells into stacked storage reservoirs. There are about 5000 oil and gas wells around each location, drilled between early 1900s to present. In this analysis, we consider only those wells that fall within the area of review and are likely to penetrate the CO2 storage reservoir.
