Title: Yb 7 Ni 4 InGe 12 : a quaternary compound having mixed valent Yb atoms grown from indium flux

Abstract

Yb 7Ni 4InGe 12is a new compound crystallizing from indium metal flux. Magnetic susceptibility and XANES data suggest mixed valent Yb atoms.
