We report the results of magnetization measurements with the magnetic field applied along the c axis on superconducting La_1.9Ca_1.1Cu₂O_6+δ single crystals processed under ultrahigh oxygen pressure. Strong fluctuation effects were found in both low- and high-field regimes. Scaling analysis of the high-field magnetization data near the critical temperature (T_c = 53.5K) region reveals the characteristics of critical fluctuation behavior of quasi-two-dimensional (2D) superconductivity, described by Ginzburg-Landau theory using the lowest Landau level approximation. Out-of-plane magnetic anisotropy enhancement in $L a_{1 - x} S r_{x} Co O_{3 - δ} / L a_{2 / 3} S r_{1 / 3} Mn O_{3} / L a_{1 - x} S r_{x} Co O_{3 - δ}$ thin films

Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) in multilayer thin films promotes the development of spintronic and magnonic research fields. The origin of the PMA deserves a thorough investigation since it contains rich physics related to multiple factors in the heterostructure system. In this report, we study the origin of PMA in La_2/3Sr_1/3 Mn O₃ (LSMO) thin films sandwiched by La_1-xSr_xCoO_3-δ (LSCO) layers grown on SrTiO₃ substrate, using aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy. Our findings indicate that the lattice and electronic structures of LSMO can be modified through the inhomogeneous strains induced by nanodomains in LSCO layers. Superconducting Fluctuations in Overdoped ${Bi}_{2} {Sr}_{2} {CaCu}_{2} O_{8 + δ}$

Fluctuating superconductivity - vestigial Cooper pairing in the resistive state of a material - is usually associated with low dimensionality, strong disorder or low carrier density. Here, we report single particle spectroscopic, thermodynamic and magnetic evidence for persistent superconducting fluctuations in heavily hole-doped cuprate superconductor Bi$$_2$$Sr$$_2$$CaCu$$_2$$O$$_{8+\delta}$$ ($$T_c$$ = 66~K) despite the high carrier density. With a sign-problem free quantum Monte Carlo calculation, we show how a partially flat band at ($$\pi$$,0) can help enhance superconducting phase fluctuations. Finally, we discuss the implications of an anisotropic band structure on the phase-coherence-limited superconductivity in overdoped cuprates and other superconductors.
