A search for the top quark has been pursued in $$p\bar{p}$$ collision at $$\sqrt{s}$$ = 1.8 Te V with the D0 detector. This documentation describes a method introduced to extract the mass of the top quark and the cross section limits on $$t\bar{t}$$ production. Also a preliminary result from the D0 experiment is described.
