Title: Multielectron oxidation in a ferromagnetically coupled dinickel( ii ) triple mesocate

Abstract

A first prototype of a metallamesocate-based molecular magnetic capacitor is reported featuring up to four stepwise and reversible 1 e -oxidation reactions of the two ferromagnetically coupled Ni IIions to afford the stable mixed-valent Ni 2 II,IIIor Ni 2 III,IVand high-valent Ni 2 IIIor Ni 2 IVspecies.
