Materials Data on SrBr3 by Materials Project
SrBr3 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sr is bonded to twelve equivalent Br atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing SrBr12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (3.38 Å) and six longer (3.55 Å) Sr–Br bond lengths. Br is bonded in a see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent Sr atoms.
