Title: Materials Data on NbGaPt by Materials Project

Abstract

NbPtGa is half-Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic F-43m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Nb is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Pt and four equivalent Ga atoms. All Nb–Pt bond lengths are 2.67 Å. All Nb–Ga bond lengths are 2.67 Å. Pt is bonded to four equivalent Nb and six equivalent Ga atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner and face-sharing PtNb4Ga6 tetrahedra. All Pt–Ga bond lengths are 3.08 Å. Ga is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Nb and six equivalent Pt atoms.
