Synthesis of the frequency of the Ca intercombination line ({lambda} = 657,5 nm)

Recently CIPM has recommended the frequency of the Ca- intercombination line at {nu}= 455 986 240,5 MHz, determined interferometrically, for the realization of the metre. Based on the existing frequency chain at PTB to the infrared, we report on the realization of phase- coherent frequency multiplication steps from a CO{sub 2} laser, phase locked to the Cs clock, to the Ca stabilized dye laser.
