Higgs production and decay in models of a warped extra dimension with a bulk Higgs
Abstract
Warped extradimension models in which the Higgs boson is allowed to propagate in the bulk of a compact AdS _{5} space are conjectured to be dual to models featuring a partially composite Higgs boson. They offer a framework with which to investigate the implications of changing the scaling dimension of the Higgs operator, which can be used to reduce the constraints from electroweak precision data. In the context of such models, we calculate the cross section for Higgs production in gluon fusion and the H → γγ decay rate and show that they are finite (at oneloop order) as a consequence of gauge invariance. The extended scalar sector comprising the KaluzaKlein excitations of the Standard Model scalars is constructed in detail. The largest effects are due to virtual KK fermions, whose contributions to the cross section and decay rate introduce a quadratic sensitivity to the maximum allowed value y _{*} of the random complex entries of the 5D anarchic Yukawa matrices. We find an enhancement of the gluonfusion cross section and a reduction of the H → γγ rate as well as of the treelevel Higgs couplings to fermions and electroweak gauge bosons. As a result, we perform a detailedmore »

In this study, we employ an SU(2) bulk Higgs doublet as the stabilization field in the Randall–Sundrum model with appropriate bulk and branelocalized potentials. The gauge hierarchy problem can be solved for an exponentially IRlocalized Higgs background field with mild values of fundamental parameters of the 5D theory. We consider an IR–UV–IR background geometry with the 5D SM fields in the bulk such that all the fields have even and odd towers of KKmodes. The zeromode 4D effective theory contains all the SM fields plus a stable scalar, which serves as a dark matter candidate.

Flavor Structure of Warped Extra Dimension Models
We recently showed, in hepph/0406101, that warped extra dimensional models with bulk custodial symmetry and few TeV KK masses lead to striking signals at Bfactories. In this paper, using a spurion analysis, we systematically study the flavor structure of models that belong to the above class. In particular we find that the profiles of the zero modes, which are similar in all these models, essentially control the underlying flavor structure. This implies that our results are robust and model independent in this class of models. We discuss in detail the origin of the signals in Bphysics. We also briefly studymore »

Higgs boson production from gluon fusion in warped extra dimensions
We present an analysis of the loopinduced couplings of the Higgs boson to the massless gauge fields (gluons and photons) in the warped extra dimension models where all standard model fields propagate in the bulk. We show that in such models corrections to the hgg and h{gamma}{gamma} couplings are potentially very large. These corrections can lead to generically sizable deviations in the production and decay rates of the Higgs boson, even when the new physics states lie beyond the direct reach of the LHC.
Forwardbackward asymmetry of top quark production at the Tevatron in warped extra dimensional models
The CDF and D0 experiments have reported on the measurement of the forwardbackward asymmetry of top quark pair production at the Tevatron and the result is that it is more than 2 standard deviations above the predicted value in the standard model. This has to be added to the longstanding anomaly in the forwardbackward asymmetry for bottom quark production at LEP which is 3 standard deviations different from the standard model value. The discrepancy in the bottom asymmetry can be accounted for by the contributions of KaluzaKlein excitations of electroweak gauge bosons at LEP in warped extradimensional models in whichmore »
