Transpired Solar Collector at NREL's Waste Handling Facility Uses Solar Energy to Heat Ventilation Air
Program Document
·
OSTI ID:1218838
The transpired solar collector was installed on NREL's Waste handling Facility (WHF) in 1990 to preheat ventilation air. The electrically heated WHF was an ideal candidate for the this technology - requiring a ventilation rate of 3,000 cubic feet per meter to maintain safe indoor conditions.
