Title: System and method for adaptively deskewing parallel data signals relative to a clock

Abstract

A system and method of reducing skew between a plurality of signals transmitted with a transmit clock is described. Skew is detected between the received transmit clock and each of received data signals. Delay is added to the clock or to one or more of the plurality of data signals to compensate for the detected skew. Each of the plurality of delayed signals is compared to a reference signal to detect changes in the skew. The delay added to each of the plurality of delayed signals is updated to adapt to changes in the detected skew.

  • This patent describes a method of placing a vehicle transmission in a neutral operating mode. It is for use in a vehicle having an engine and a transmission system including an input member, an output member, a torque converter assembly for transmitting torque between an engine and the input member, a gear assembly for changing the ratio of torque between the input member and output member, friction elements for shifting the gear assembly, a fluid actuating device being movable axially for applying at least one friction element, at least one solenoid-actuated valve being moved in response to the presence ormore » absence of electrical power to the valve for directing fluid flow between a fluid source and the fluid actuating device, sensors providing signals indicative of measurement data for predetermined conditions, a controller with memory for processing and storing the signals and predetermined values and providing output signals to control the solenoid-actuated valves.« less
  • A massively parallel computer system contains an inter-nodal communications network of node-to-node links. Each node implements a respective routing strategy for routing data through the network, the routing strategies not necessarily being the same in every node. The routing strategies implemented in the nodes are dynamically adjusted during application execution to shift network workload as required. Preferably, adjustment of routing policies in selective nodes is performed at synchronization points. The network may be dynamically monitored, and routing strategies adjusted according to detected network conditions.
  • A data collector for a massively parallel computer system obtains call-return stack traceback data for multiple nodes by retrieving partial call-return stack traceback data from each node, grouping the nodes in subsets according to the partial traceback data, and obtaining further call-return stack traceback data from a representative node or nodes of each subset. Preferably, the partial data is a respective instruction address from each node, nodes having identical instruction address being grouped together in the same subset. Preferably, a single node of each subset is chosen and full stack traceback data is retrieved from the call-return stack within themore » chosen node.« less
