Exclusive processes and the fundamental structure of hadrons
Abstract
I review the historical development of QCD predictions for exclusive hadronic processes, beginning with constituent counting rules and the quark interchange mechanism, phenomena which gave early validation for the quark structure of hadrons. The subsequent development of pQCD factorization theorems for hard exclusive amplitudes and the development of evolution equations for the hadron distribution amplitudes provided a rigorous framework for calculating hadronic form factors and hard scattering exclusive scattering processes at high momentum transfer. I also give a brief introduction to the field of "lightfront holography" and the insights it brings to quark confinement, the behavior of the QCD coupling in the nonperturbative domain, as well as hadron spectroscopy and the dynamics of exclusive processes.

A model proposed previously by the present authors for elastic scattering and diffraction processes is developed for the case of an arbitrary binary process ab ..>.. cd. The amplitudes for different reactions (with respect to the cd system) then have certain properties of universality, in particular, a common behavior of the differential cross sections in the region of large values of Vertical BartVertical Bar. Asymptotic behavior of the amplitudes for exclusive electroproduction of hadrons
The asymptotic behavior of the cross sections for the exclusive electroproduction of mesons (..pi..,rho,...) on a nucleon (..gamma../sub V/+N ..>..M+N') as Q/sup 2/..>..infinity is determined. The threshold behavior of the scaling functions is obtained. The relation to inclusive electroproduction is considered. 
Observation of exclusive ${\rm Y}\left(1S\right)$ and ${\rm Y}\left(2S\right)$ decays into light hadrons
Using samples of 102 million Υ(1S) and 158 million Υ(2S) events collected with the Belle detector, we study exclusive hadronic decays of these two bottomonium resonances to the threebody final states φK ^{+}K, ωπ ^{+}π ^{} and K ^{*0}(892)K ^{}π ^{+}, and to the twobody VectorTensor states (φf' _{2}(1525), ωf _{2}(1270), ρa _{2}(1320) and K ^{*0}(892)more »
