Public involvement is an integral part of the development of planning documents. EG&G Rocky Flat`s, Inc. (EG&G) Community Relations Department in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Energy Rocky Flats Office (DOE-RFO) Office of Communications is responsible for interfacing with the public and community stakeholders groups such as those convened by the Rocky Flat Local Impacts Initiative. Public involvement will be key to enhancing public acceptance and confidence in the planning documents. Through a strategic planning focus group, which is convened by the Rocky Flats Local Impact Initiative, up-front input from the public and regulatory stakeholders is provided for the development of planning documents and their scope.
