Radio frequency phototube and optical clock: High resolution, high rate and highly stable single photon timing technique
Journal Article
·
· Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, Section A
A new timing technique for single photons based on the radio frequency phototube and optical clock or femtosecond optical frequency comb generator is proposed. The technique has a 20 ps resolution for single photons, is capable of operating with MHz frequencies and achieving 10 fs instability level.
