Title: Robust adaptive transient damping in power systems. Volume 2, Damping controllers in ac/dc power systems--routines for simulation, computer requirements for implementation, dc controllers, and robust control: Final report

Abstract

This volume 2 of the final report on RP2665-1 contains the following parts: (1) descriptions of routines and interfaces for simulation of adaptive controllers using version one of EPRI`s Extended Transient/Midterm Stability Program (ETMSP); (2) an evaluation of computer requirements for implementing self-tuning controllers to dampen low-frequency oscillations; (3) an evaluation of nonconventional dc controllers and supplementary modulation schemes in damping of low-frequency oscillations in an ac/dc power system; and (4) a survey of recent advances in robust control theory with applications to power systems.
