Proceedings: Strategic benefits of biomass and waste fuels
These proceedings summarize the results of the ``Strategic Benefits of Biomass and Waste Fuels`` conference, held March 30--April l, 1993. The conference brought together experts in biomass and waste fuels to address resource assessment, fuel types and viability, advanced power systems used in conjunction with these fuels, and emerging biomass and waste fuels issues. In addition, EPRI reported on its ``Strategic Analysis of Biomass and Waste Fuels for Electric Power Generation`` project which is focusing on fuel and technology evaluation, fuel properties, risk evaluation, and utility case studies. Also during the conference, focus groups met and reported on strategic issues regarding energy crops; resource planning; cofired power plants using wood waste, municipal solid waste, or scrap tires; dedicated power plants; and gasification power plants. Individual papers in this document are indexed separately.
