Operational Environmental Monitoring Program Quality Assurance Project Plan. Revision 1
This Quality Assurance Project Plan is prepared to cover the environmental monitoring performed by Westinghouse Hanford Company (Westinghouse Hanford) as it implements the Operational Environmental Monitoring Program (OEMP). This plan applies to all sampling and monitoring activities performed by Westinghouse Hanford in implementing the OEMP at the Hanford site. This Quality Assurance Project Plan is required by US Department of Energy (DOE) Order 5400.1 (DOE 1988a) as a part of the Environmental Monitoring Plan (DOE-RL 1991) and is used to show: Environmental measurement and sampling locations used to monitor environmental contaminants near operating facilities and waste storage and disposal sites; Procedures and equipment needed to perform the measurement and sampling; Frequency and analyses required for each measurement and sampling location; Minimum detection level and accuracy; Quality assurance components; Investigation levels.
