Description - This Special Interest Group was formed under the scope of the Scientific and Technical Information Program (STIP) as a follow up to crosscutting Departmental issues and interests raised at DOE’s Financial Assistance Advisory Council (FAAC) Meeting, in April 1999, related to "Scientific and Technical Reporting." An initial group meeting was held on 7/29/99. The assumption was made that working sub-groups will be established as needed to champion specific areas of interest as they are defined. Objective - The Group’s objective is to facilitate resolution to crosscutting issues to support implementation of Departmental policy and interests related to "Scientific and Technical Reporting." The Group’s initial efforts will primarily be focused on two ongoing Departmental initiatives: (1) Transition from Paper to Electronic Reporting in Standard Formats and (2) Improve Accountability/Visibility of STI Grant Deliverables. Deliverable - Each working group will produce deliverables as appropriate to meet the needs of the crosscutting forum. Deliverables currently identified include: facilitate submission of financial assistance STI deliverables in electronic format in accordance with DOE O 241.1 and improve accountability/visibility of same STI deliverables to support Departmental policy and interest. Duration - As a Special Interest Group, the activities are ongoing. Facilitator - The facilitator is Susan Tackett, OSTI. Team Leader - Team Leaders will be designated as working sub-groups are defined. |
