OSTI manages a central repository. Recently, we have undergone a radical change. With modern technology it is often no longer necessary for us to be a central repository of the actual documents. The documents can remain with the author's institution, such as Argonne National Laboratory or Brookhaven National Laboratory. Rather, we are the central repository of an INDEX of documents that are all searchable.
