First, a little background: OSTI coordinates the DOE-wide scientific and technical information (STI) program. In recent years, such functions have been called knowledge management.

In essence, we build databases and make them searchable. The content of the databases are text documents of DOE R&D results, R&D project summaries, and R&D accomplishments. The program involves all headquarters program offices, field offices, national laboratories, contractors and grantees. We cover all of DOE.
