The American Museum of Science and Energy (AMSE) is located in Oak Ridge, TN. Originally, AMSE was the Atomic Energy Museum and later expanded to include all forms of energy. Due to the history associated with the Manhattan Project, atomic energy is a leading topic visitors are interested in exploring.
The publication, The Harnessed Atom, is available through a partnership between AMSE and the US Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI).
AMSE would like to thank OSTI for their efforts in making this quality reference material available. These documents have been out of print since the early 1990s.
