Throughout the year 1972, air filter samples were collected at Kellogg, Idaho, in the Coeur d'Alene mining district. These samples were analyzed to determine the concentrations of trace metallic elements in air and to look for indications of their sources- for examples, which ones are in the air as a results of the mining and smelting operations, and which are there "naturally" through being picked up by winds from the soil surface. The experimental procedures and results are given here.
