Safety Relief for RHIC Vacuum Tank
- Brookhaven National Lab. (BNL), Upton, NY (United States)
The relief systems are required to prevent overpressure in both the pressure vessel containing cold helium and the vacuum tank for the RHIC cryostats. The pressure relief system for the helium vessel has been designed for a catastrophic loss of the insulating vacuum. In this report, the relief system for the vacuum tank is considered.
