Title: Studies of CP-conserving and CP-violating B(s) mixing parameters with the D0 experiment

Conference ·
OSTI ID:919946

This paper summarizes the recent results of the Run IIa D0 experiment at the Tevatron Collider at Fermilab on the observable parameters of the B{sub s} meson. A measurement of the branching fraction Br(B{sup 0}{sub s} {yields} D{sup (*)}{sub s} D{sup (*)}{sub s}) is reported, which provides an estimate of the width difference {Delta}{Gamma}{sup CP}{sub s}/{Delta}{Gamma}{sub s}. Through the decay B{sub s} {yields} J/{phi}{psi} the width difference {Delta}{Gamma}{sub s} is extracted, and for the first time a constraint is set on the CP-violating phase {psi}{sub s}, although a four-fold ambiguity remains. This result is combined with other D0 measurements to yield {Delta}{Gamma}{sub s} = 0.13 {+-} 0.09 ps{sup -1}, {psi}{sub s} = -0.70{sup +0.47}{sup -0.39}.
