On-the-job training (OJT) has been with us in varying forms for longer than perhaps any other type of training. In reality, OJT is a process for accomplishing change; change in an employee's ability to perform assigned job duties. However, bringing about that change can often be a difficult process. A clear understanding of what change really is and what it entails is essential to easing its process. this document discusses the methodology in OJT and emphasizes the importance of communications in this process.
