The project originally proposed under this contract consisted of two parts: (1) Calculation of the electron synchrotron radiation spectrum emitted by a volume element of plasma with arbitrary distribution functions. Investigation of the dependence of the spectrum on the form and parameters of the distribution function. (2) Computation of the synchrotron power loss from the EBT ring plasma using the computer code developed in Part 1 with a model of EBT ring plasma parameters and geometry. A summary of work done on Part 1 is given.
