The objective for this portion of the research involved conducting field studies and laboratory investigations to develop and refine models for mud-rich submarine fan architectures used by seismic analysis and reservoir engineers. Lorenso discusses the limitations of verticle resolution and how this affects the interpretation and characterization of submarine fan complexes.
