Title: Subtask 12C1: Determination of thermophysical properties of V-5Cr-5Ti

Technical Report ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.2172/415176· OSTI ID:415176

Measurement of thermal expansion, thermal conductivity, specific heat, elastic constants to provide a single source of data on V-5Cr-5Ti to support design efforts on the V-Li blanket. The available tentative data on the physical properties required for thermal stress analyses are largely confined to pure vanadium. Using a V-5Cr-5Ti alloy, in a fully-annealed condition, a series of property measurements have been completed including linear thermal expansion, specific heat, thermal conductivity and the primary elastic constraints. These data have been submitted to the ITER Materials Property Data Handbook. 2 refs., 8 figs., 1 tab.
