Abstract

The object of the upgrading measures on the steam generators is: (1) To comply with the requirements of the German antipollution law, which imposes a permissible NO{sub x} content in the flue gas of less than 200 Mg/m{sup 3} STP and a CO content of less than 250 Mg/m{sup 3} STP. (2) To increase the boiler efficiency and availability and the efficiency of the water/steam cycle.

In the transfer of heat by radiation, the actual role of the gas tanks located outside the convective steam superheater (ConSS) is relatively small. This has an indirect relationship to planning of massive boiler units, in which the dimensions of the gas tanks between the heating surfaces in the gas conduits are rather large. In the calculation and planning variants for the P-57 boilers, the resulting radiative current arriving at the edge of the volume occupied by the ConSS is high. As a result, the actual heat absorption of the ConSS was less than planned value.
Optimizing the periodicity of checks of systems of technological protection units for equipment at power stations

Experience gained by power systems with introduction and operation of systems of technological protection units (STP) shows that their function is an important factor in improving the reliability of equipment and the basis of increasing labor productivity as a result of extension of the zones of servicing. Reliability of operation of spray boiler steam coolers of a 500 MW energy unit

In a majority of modern boiler units, control of live steam temperature is achieved using a simple economic method of spraying feed water. In the P-57-1 boiler of unit No. 9 of the Troitsk GRES, sprayer No. 3 is positioned before the output stage of the high pressure convective steam and is designed for control of the superheating temperature of the live steam beyond the boiler. The reliability and operation of this spray boiler steam cooler is discussed. (JMT)
